XENON

From Ghosted to Goated Chapter 2: Xenon’s Journey at SCTBB25

I never really thought I would win a beatbox competition. Not because I didn’t work hard, but because after five years in this journey, you learn to keep your expectations grounded. Winning the Skull Crusher Throwdown Beatbox Battle 2025, which also served as a pre-qualifier for Delhi Beatbox Championship 2026, is my first official competition win, and it honestly means more to me than I can fully express. This win wasn’t about a position. It was about belief, preparation, and showing up fully.

Preparation: All In, No Expectations

Going into this competition, I had only one mindset — be prepared. I wasn’t hoping for a trophy or imagining a podium finish. My only thought was that if I move to the next round, I should be ready for it. That’s why I went all-in. I worked relentlessly on my routines and kept refining my elements over and over again. Some routines were literally made just one day before the competition, which made things extremely hectic. Managing this alongside my competitive exam preparation made it even more challenging, but I didn’t want to leave anything to chance. With around 20 highly skilled beatboxers in the bracket, I knew this wasn’t the place to hold back.

Eliminations: Pressure, Trust, and Belief

I had 14th number in the eliminations, and the level that day was unreal. Everyone showed up hungry. The new faces absolutely killed it, and the OGs did what they always do — delivered at the highest level. The competition was stacked from top to bottom, and honestly, even deciding the top 8 felt extremely tough. Before I even started, people were screaming “Rank 1, Rank 1.” That kind of support fills you with happiness, but it also brings pressure — pressure to live up to the expectations of the crowd. At that moment, I didn’t overthink. I trusted what I had prepared, focused on my elements, and gave it everything I had. Seeing the crowd’s reaction and the judges’ response reassured me that I was on the right path. When the top 8 list was announced and I found out that I had secured rank 1, it hit differently. I had worked extremely hard on my eliminations, especially on those elements, and seeing that effort turn into results gave me belief — not arrogance, just quiet confidence.

Quarterfinals (Top 8): Me vs Kishpal

The quarterfinal battle against Kishpal [Nitin Bhaiya] was genuinely one of the best battles I’ve ever had. It was completely neck-to-neck, and I was honestly surprised by how much Kishpal had leveled up. Massive respect to him. Him and Anshar are among the few people who have actually seen me prepare and grind behind the scenes, so big ups to him not just for the battle, but for supporting me throughout the journey.

Semifinals: The Rematch with Bhargav

The semifinals were a rematch with Bhargav, one of the most unique beatboxers in the scene, and I already knew what that meant. Whenever I face Bhargav again, he comes back ten times stronger, and this time was no different. His level was insane. Big ups to him for securing third place — super proud of him.

Finals: Me vs Drifter

The finals were against Drifter, and that moment felt surreal. Drifter is one of my inspirations, and I’ve always tried to imitate his beatboxing style. Battling him in the finals felt legendary. It was also a rematch, as I had lost to him earlier, so this time I came in fully prepared and focused on giving my absolute best. Holding my own in that battle meant everything to me.

The Moment It Sank In

During the winner announcement, people around me were saying I would win, but in my head, I knew anything could happen. When my name was announced, everything hit at once. The crowd rushing in, people lifting me up, and the love and appreciation from everyone around me — that moment is easily one of the best moments of my life. It wasn’t just happiness, it was validation of every late night, every doubt, and every year spent trusting the process.

Gratitude

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey — Nitin Bhaiya, Anshar, RDX, Fable, PR4K, Ditto, Madhav, Zel, Hystericall, Bhargav, Drifter, Karma, Rawr, Sudarshan, Bhuvi, Reckon, Bunnie, Chirag, Arnav, and every single beatboxer who stepped on that stage. Big shoutout to PVRTH — your support and help in preparing for SCT played a huge role in this journey, and I’m genuinely grateful. Big ups to the management team for hosting such a crazy battle. This community means a lot to me; it’s family, and being able to grow, battle, and win among people I respect so deeply is something I’ll always value what This Win Means. Winning Skullcrushers Throwdown means a lot — not just as a title, but as a reminder that consistency pays off. I promise to give my absolute best in the future and not let you guys down.

This is just the beginning.
