July 20, 2025
Hey everyone, this is Xenon, and here’s my side of the story — my DBC 2025 experience.
It’s still surreal to think about where I was a year ago. In DBC 2024, I wasn’t even on the radar. Not even in the top 32 wildcard list. Fast forward to this year? I placed 17th in the wildcard round, and then out of nowhere — Rank 1 in eliminations.
I still remember staring at that ranking list in disbelief, thinking: “Wait, this is real?”
What made it even more beautiful? The crowd. They actually vibed with my set. The energy, the reactions—it was exactly what I had dreamed of.
And when Kunal Bhaiya asked the audience, “Which was your favorite showcase?” and the entire venue screamed “XENON!” — that moment hit different.
That was when I knew: the grind is real, and it pays off.
This journey wouldn’t be what it was without the people who had my back from Day 1.
Big shoutout to Nitin Bhaiya, Kartikey, Vishesh,Parth Seghal, Saksham and Madhav for being the first listeners of my routines. Every weekend, we’d hit the studio, practice our sets, and battle till we ran out of breath and material.
There were days we’d grind till 3 AM, looping the same sets again and again just to sharpen them perfectly.
Special thanks to Nitin Bhaiya for always being that push when energy was low, and RDX for those motivating words before the comp. He said, “You’re going to do really well today.” And that stuck.
This wasn’t just preparation—it was passion in motion.
When I stepped on that stage for my elimination round, I didn’t expect much. I didn’t walk in to win—I just wanted to perform. But something clicked.
I went all in, gave the crowd everything I had, and by the end of my set, I was literally trembling—out of breath, but full of fire.
And then came the rankings. #1.
Shock. Happiness. Relief. All at once.
And hearing the crowd cheer when I was done? Nothing beats that. That’s when I knew they didn’t just hear me—they felt me.
Top 16: Bhargav – “Oh Sh*t, It’s On”
When I faced Bhargav in the Top 16, his first drop hit like a truck.
I literally thought to myself, “Oh sht, this is gonna be tough.”*
He was not someone you take lightly—one of the most solid and sharp beatboxers out there.
But I was locked in. My goal? Go all in. Leave no regrets.
And I did exactly that. Big ups to him!
Top 8: Sudarshan – The Unexpectedly Close Fight
Up next? Sudarshan in the Top 8. Another absolute beast.
I didn’t prepare anything beyond the Top 16, so this was going to be raw.
Honestly, I thought it would be a clean 3-0 in his favor. But when the results came and I got 1 vote? That was a moment of pride.
It was 2-1, and the battle was actually close.
Mad respect to Sudarshan—I’d love to battle him again. That clash is one I’ll always remember.
This year’s DBC wasn’t just about individual wins. It was about the whole scene leveling up.and international beatboxers Like gelber showing up on the event was crazy.
Seeing all my friends bring their A-game and kill their battles was incredible.
Big ups to PVRTH, who owned that stage, proved his dominance, and walked away as the champion. So proud of him. He’s built different, and this time, he made everyone feel it.
I really appreciate how he’s supported me throughout. He used to enjoy my combos, give me solid feedback, and always kept me motivated. On the day of the battles, he told me, “According to me, you’re going to be in the Top 4.”That kind of belief from someone I look up to really fueled me.
DBC 2025 was hands down one of the best events ever held.
From not making the list last year to topping the charts this year…
From doubting myself to hearing a crowd scream my name…
From random jams to battling champions…
This wasn’t just a competition for me—it was a story of growth, love, hustle, and one hell of a comeback.
To every beatboxer reading this—your moment will come. Just keep showing up, keep creating, and never let your self-doubt kill your sound.
