The event kicked off with a bang as we took a trip down memory lane, rewatching the electrifying semifinals and finals of the Delhi Beatbox Champs.
The battles showcased:
The atmosphere was charged with energy, and the crowd was on their feet, reacting as though the battles were happening live. The screening wasn’t just a blast from the past, it was a celebration of the beats, skills, and iconic moments that made Delhi’s beatboxing scene so legendary.
Next up, the surprise everyone had been waiting for the official launch of the Delhi Beatbox Community website! The site is packed with features that are perfect for every beatboxer and fan:
And if that wasn’t enough, they also revealed their first-ever hoodie! The minimalist design
with the definition of “esh” on the back made it an instant favorite. It’s not just clothing; it’s a statement piece for every member of the community!
The event kicked off with the elimination round, where 32 beatboxers showcased their skills in thrilling one-minute performances. Each artist brought their unique style, creativity, and energy to the stage, making the competition incredibly fierce. Among the participants was G Box 10, a young newcomer to the beatboxing scene. It was his first-ever battle and performance, and his courage and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. His participation highlighted how these events encourage newcomers to step up, gain valuable experience, and be part of the community.
After an intense round of eliminations, only the top 8 were selected to move on to the much-anticipated 7 to Smoke battles. These talented beatboxers were:
PVRTH, known as the beast of Delhi, came out swinging. His performance was nothing short of spectacular as he stormed through the rounds, dominating his opponents and nearly sweeping the competition. However, in a dramatic turn of events, the OG Drifter stepped up and ended PVRTH’s winning streak. Drifter’s solid challenge had the crowd roaring, creating an unforgettable moment of tension and excitement. But champions don’t back down easily. Despite the setback, PVRTH regrouped, refocused, and delivered performances that solidified his place at the top. In the end, Parth emerged as the overall winner, proving once again why he’s one of the best in the game.
Yes, that’s right I judged some fantasy battles alongside Drifter after the official 7 to Smoke rounds. These fantasy battles were for those who didn’t make it into the official 7 to Smoke battles after the open 32 eliminations. The energy was still high, and it was amazing to see so many talented beatboxers still bringing their A-game, even though they didn’t make it to the main stage. The battles were full of creativity, fun, and of course, plenty of epic moments.
After the battles, what better way to wind down than with some hot and delicious momos? The artists and viewers/audience made their way to Amar Colony Market, where we warmed up with this Delhi favorite. The chilly winter air, coupled with the tasty, steamy momos, made for the perfect end to the evening. And because beatboxers can never resist a jam session, we wrapped up the night with some
impromptu beats and shared stories, creating memories before we all headed home, full and satisfied.
Off the Stage wasn’t just an event it was a celebration of the incredible talent, passion, and unity of the Delhi Beatbox Community. From reliving legendary battles to unveiling exciting new features on the community’s website, and of course, the epic end with momos, this event was one for the books.
Missed it? No worries the Delhi Beatbox Community is just getting started. Keep an eye on their newly launched website for more updates, events, and surprises. The beat doesn’t stop here!
